What Our Riders Say

"

I came in completely terrified of horses. After six weeks with Sarah in the Beginner program, I was cantering independently. The patience and expertise here is truly world-class.

My daughter was 7 when she joined the Kids Program. Emma is an absolute magician with children. She's now competing at regional junior level and we couldn't be prouder.

James pushed me to compete for the first time after I'd been riding casually for years. His show jumping clinic transformed my technique in ways I didn't think possible.

Frequently Asked

Everything you need to know before your first lesson. Can't find your answer? Contact us.

Do I need any prior experience to join?
Absolutely not! Our Beginner program is specifically designed for riders with zero experience. Our trainers will guide you through everything from approaching a horse safely to your first independent walk. We also offer a free assessment session if you're unsure which level to start at.
What should I wear to my first lesson?
We recommend comfortable, close-fitting trousers (no jeans with thick seams), and closed-toe shoes or boots with a small heel. All safety helmets and body protectors are provided at no extra cost. Avoid loose clothing or open shoes. Long hair should be tied back.
How long is each lesson and how often should I ride?
Standard lessons are 45 or 60 minutes depending on the session type. For beginners, we recommend once a week to build muscle memory and confidence. Intermediate and advanced riders often benefit from 2–3 sessions per week. Our trainers will advise the best frequency for your goals.
Is there a minimum age for riding lessons?
Our Kids Program starts from age 5. For very young children (5–7), sessions are conducted as supervised pony rides and gentle horse bonding activities. Full structured lessons begin from age 8. There is no upper age limit — we regularly teach riders in their 60s and 70s!
Can I choose a specific horse for my lessons?
Horse assignments are carefully matched to your skill level and physical build for safety and optimal learning. As you progress and build a bond with a particular horse, we can often arrange for consistent pairing. Long-term members and Champion plan holders have priority horse selection.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule a lesson without charge. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the session will be charged 50% of the lesson fee. No-shows are charged in full. In cases of illness, please contact us as early as possible and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
